In this task, 249 Deaf BSL signers (30 each in Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester & Newcastle, 32 in Bristol & 37 in London) were asked their signs for 102 various concepts, including some numbers, colours, countries, UK place names, and range of other concepts which were known to show a wide range of regional variation in BSL.
